The Dirty Six
Six reels were put through the cleaning and tuning test. Fortunately, no parts had to be replaced. Fine tuning a Abu Garcia requires patience and attention to detail. Fine tuning a Penn requires mega everything. Get one thing wrong or miss a step it's back to the beginning.
Shimano Bantam Curado
Shimano and sand does not go well together. Zach's baitcast had sand and dirt in in all the wrong places. To be such a closed system, this particular model had a few open areas that let the dirt in. Fortunately, nothing was damaged, however, the amount and type of dirt caused the reel to get out of tune.
